Sam Plummer, Founder and Director
Sam was raised in rural New Zealand where his interest in people and organizations lead him to complete a post-graduate degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Canterbury. Sam worked in human resource management and organization development roles in New Zealand, including in its public sector reform programme focusing on organization performance and change management.
In 2003, looking for new challenges, Sam moved to Cambodia and took on a volunteer management role with an international NGO. After returning to consulting work, Sam worked extensively with the Royal Government of Cambodia on their National Programme for Administrative Reform programme and has designed and implemented a number of institutional capacity development and organization performance strengthening programmes both within government agencies across a number of sectors including health and education and with international NGOs and CSOs.
Sam has worked throughout South East Asia and has expertise in human resources management, leadership and human resources development, performance management systems, remuneration and incentive systems, industrial relations and wide sectoral experience. He has contributed to civil society strengthening and democratic governance initiatives and has strong communication and dialogue skills. Sam works with people to build teams and organizations that support their vision and values and deliver results.
